These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Eyetlink Portal (the “Portal”), which is operated by Eyetlink (“we”, “us”). By logging in to or using the Portal, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Portal.
The Portal is an online review tool for seafarers preparing for the MARINA Theoretical Licensure Examination. Depending on the review package you are enrolled in (for example, for the Deck or Engine department), it lets you:
The Portal is a study aid only. It is not an official examination of the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) or of any other government agency.
All content in the Portal, including the questions, answer choices, explanations, images, layout and materials, belongs to Eyetlink or is used with permission, and is protected by law.
While your access is active, we give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to view the content in the Portal for your own review only.
Your name is shown as a watermark (“NOT FOR SHARING”) on question and result pages. It identifies who the content was shown to, and you must not remove, hide or alter it.

When using the Portal, you agree not to:
The Portal records your answers and shows your score and pass or fail result so that you can see how ready you are. These results are only a guide. We work to keep the content accurate and current, but questions, answers or explanations may contain errors or become out of date, and the questions in the Portal may not match those in the actual examination.
We do not guarantee that using the Portal will help you pass the licensure examination or reach any particular score.
Authorized Eyetlink personnel with an administrator account may enroll reviewees, manage access, and add or edit the question bank. Administrators must use their access only for their assigned work, keep the personal data they can see confidential, and follow our Data Privacy Notice.
Any fee for a review package is arranged separately with Eyetlink when you enroll, and is governed by that arrangement. The Portal does not process payments.
We aim to keep the Portal available, but we do not promise that it will always work without interruption or errors. We may pause it for maintenance, updates or reasons beyond our control, and we may change, add or remove features or content at any time.
Your access ends automatically on your “Access Date To”. We may also suspend or deactivate your account, with or without notice, if we believe you have broken these Terms, for example by sharing your account or the content, or if this is needed to protect the Portal or other users. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as those on content ownership and limits of liability, remain in effect after your access ends.
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Portal and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. Eyetlink is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including the result of any examination, or for loss caused by interruptions, errors, or events beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the law that cannot be limited.
How we collect and use your personal data is explained in our Data Privacy Notice, which forms part of these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the current version. If you keep using the Portal after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute about them will be brought before the proper courts of the Philippines.
